We are part of the Exodraft Group, established after the acquisition of several energy companies in 2020 and 2021. This marked the beginning of a new Exodraft, building on the strong foundation created by each individual company over the years, and today we are a global market leader.
The group also comprises the Energy and Climate divisions, and together we offer energy technology solutions such as chimney fans, particle filters, heat recovery, boilers, heat pumps, and cooling/freezing solutions to private, commercial, and industrial sectors, as well as the energy supply sector.

In addition to developing greener energy solutions, we also contribute to this ambition by actively ensuring that political decisions regarding the use of fuel-based heating sources are made on an informed basis. HOW IT ALL BEGAN
The story of
Exodraft
To better understand who Exodraft is today, it is important to know our background story.
The story of Exodraft began in 1957, when Kai Hermansen created his first chimney fan in Sorø using a hand drill. This marked the beginning of Exhausto – today Exodraft – which moved to Funen in 1963 and expanded its product range to include fans.
After Kai’s passing, his son, Peter Hermansen, took over in 1969 and significantly grew the company – but never faster than the organisation and quality of delivery could keep up, which still characterises Exodraft today.
In 2007, the ventilation division was sold, and Exodraft gained its own identity focusing on chimney fans and heat recovery.

The chimney fan, which Kai patented, was the first on the market with a quality that could withstand high temperatures. This fundamental approach still guides how we manufacture chimney fans today, and Kai’s entrepreneurial, curious, and innovative spirit continues to influence Exodraft’s approach to product development.
We take pride in continually building on our knowledge and product range, which we regularly test in our development laboratory in Langeskov. This ensures that our products deliver optimal performance while also complying with current regulations and authority requirements.
